ICACOS ISLAND BEACHES
This is the beach that most people use on Icacos Island. There is basically a section on the east and one on the south and one or the other will usually have pretty calm water depending on the wind. Also, when the catamarans come, they usually stop at one of these places. This is also the typical drop off point for water taxis.
|
The northern coast of Icacos Island is typically effected by the northern swell that often comes in, but when there are not many waves, this is a great place to hang out and snorkel. You can hike to these beaches by making your way around the northwest tip of Icacos. Not many people make the effort to come to these beaches so you may have the place to yourself!

Most tourists and locals go to the beach on Icacos' west or south side. If you want to avoid those crowds then this beach could be a great option for you. It can't be found unless you're looking for it...and most people don't look for it :) The beach is about 40 yards long and, if you're looking for some good snorkeling, this can be a great spot on calm days.
